While working on my shipping container home, I had plenty of time to think and reflect on my life and the world around me. I wanted to share my experiences, thoughts as well as what I've learned about mental health.
When I began the shipping container project, I was overwhelmed but I had to learn patience and to stay focused, a lot of money was being invested in this project and I wanted to do it right. Considering, I was so focused, I did not have a lot of time for social media, any biased news or unnecessary drama that would emotionally drain me, so I removed myself from the chaos. By doing so, I started noticing I was more relaxed, my anxiety began to fade, I was sleeping better, my memory had improved, even my blood pressure readings were no longer elevated. I thought, there's something to this so I wanted to share my experiences and hopefully it helps.
Experience? What's that?
So this is where everything started. I bought a house that had been abandoned for many years and rehabbed it with no carpentry, construction, electrical, or plumbing experience. During this time, my life had gone through lot of traumatic changes and honestly this kept my mind busy and away from drama, not ignoring the trauma but filling the time while I healed from it.
